Continuing Medical Education
C&M is a recognized regional leader in its commitment to emergency medicine. Education and professional development are important for our physicians, as well as the specialty of emergency medicine. We provide fully accredited educational programs in emergency medicine on an ongoing basis. Our past educational conferences have included “Emergency Department APCs: Implementation Strategies,” and a yearly EMTALA series.

Life Support Programs
In 1995, Dr. Mandry started an Advanced Life Support Program in association with the residency program to provide courses in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). These programs are offered to all levels of health care providers (physicians, nurses and ancillary personnel) in Louisiana. The courses use state-of-the-art teaching aids and employ modern adult teaching techniques designed to maximize retention of the information/training.
